Debra Isaacson is currently teaching eighth grade science in addition to seventh and eighth grade reading. She has been teaching at Mondovi Middle School for nine years. Her goals related to the Wisconsin Teacher Standards and Professional Development Plan come from her desire to provide the best education possible for all her students. Debra has a strong desire to share her knowledge and to encourage new staff and student teachers. She has discovered the niche of her life is teaching and sharing. Her undergraduate program began with an emphasis on special education, however, her master degree program focused on mentoring students. Experience has broadened her understanding of how students differ in their approaches to learning and the barriers that can impede learning. Debra strives to impart this knowledge with the student teachers she supervises. Her classroom management plan: Give Respect, Act in a Manner Worthy of Respect, And Expect Respect-describes her completely.
